 TITLE
CHILD OFFENDERS: UK AND INTERNATIONAL PRACTICE
 ABSTRACT
The examination of past cases has proved that jailing children aged 12 to 14 years has not been an effective remedy to tackle the problem of Juvenile Crime. The risk of self-harm and suicide has also increased. The Howard League has developed a new strategy founded on the use of media and the discussion with Peers and Members Parliament. This volume collects contributions of experts around this subject as part of this new strategy.
